Who am I?

About me

Claire Tracey is an accredited UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) coach, lecturer, and practitioner with extensive experience across performance sport, higher education, and health and fitness. She has been coaching for around 20 years, holds a BSc in Physiology & Sport Science, an MSc in Strength & Conditioning, a Postgraduate Diploma in Swedish Massage, and specialist qualifications in pre and postnatal fitness and pregnancy massage.

Claire has a particular passion for working with pre and postnatal women and female athletes, supporting performance, health, and long-term athletic development through evidence-based strength training and pelvic health–informed practice. Her applied experience spans youth to elite sport, working with athletes and organisations across the UK in both able-bodied and para-sport environments.

Alongside her coaching practice, Claire lectures and supports (tech dem) undergraduate and postgraduate Strength & Conditioning programmes and is actively involved in coach education. She tutors and assesses the UKSCA Strength & Conditioning Trainer Award in partnership with Sport Wales, contributing to the development of high-quality practitioners within the industry.

Claire remains actively engaged in performance sport, currently coaching  for TASS at the Royal National College for the Blind. Her work is driven by a commitment to evidence-based practice, inclusive coaching, and the ongoing evolution of Strength & Conditioning.

"Claire looked after my mental and physical health during what was easily the toughest challenge I have ever completed"
